"My daughter is in ICU at this moment with no insurance (4th time with pneumonia in 1 1/2 years). She has a small chance of surviving and none of this would have happened if she had health insurance so she could of had follow up care. If she survives, we will be financially ruined. People think there are programs to help people in these situations, but we sure never qualified for anything. She has worked 96 hours a week for 8 years taking care of mentally disabled adults. She has all the qualifications and certifications for this extremely challenging job. What is happening in this country is obscene, inhumane, and should be criminal!!!!
For those of you who denied us our basic right of health care, the lives that are lost because of you will be on your soul forever. Please rethink your action for your own sake since you do not care about anyone else."
Yesterday SB 810 (the California Single Payer bill) was killed on the floor of the California State Senate.
SB 810 was defeated by the votes of several contemptible 'Democrats'. I believe our government, at all levels, is beyond repairable, it is hopelessly and fatally corrupt.
I am on the Board of California One Care, in the coming weeks, we will come to this community of activists with a proposal about how to replace utterly corrupt "Democrats" in the California legislature with legislators who will work for the people of California, not the insurance industry, and those who slip wads of money into their pockets. We have targeted several 'Democrats', and we are committed to defeating these monsters.
The horror of the U.S. healthcare system was exposed before the world a week ago. The tragic and untimely death of skier Sarah Burke made headlines because of the massive hospital bills her grieving family faced. Read the comments in the Daily Mail, if you dare, the whole world recognizes that our government is on the payroll of all the healthcare 'stakeholders'.
